He left a senior management position to form Lehman Associates in 1992 to help companies and organizations take advantage of networked information and communication. This work shifted from private networks to the Internet shortly thereafter and Lehman was an early leader. He authored an article for a professional journal in 1995 titled "Doing Business on the Internet".

Lehman Associates primary services include business and marketing strategy, Internet business development, marketing and industry research, and executive consulting. Clients include private and public companies, trade and professional associations, and other non-profits. Services to associations and related non-profits is a major part of our business.
