Lee Provoost is a Senior Consultant at Capgemini Netherlands and the co-founder and -leader of Capgemini's global Java community. He joined Capgemini in 2006 after combining the position of a lead software engineer for an internet start-up and doing an MSc in compiler and programming language design at the university of Utrecht. His broad interest has led him to areas like developing COBOL and RPG applications for IBM AS/400, over small compilers in Haskell to Java applications for cell phones. Currently his focus is on trying to understand how innovative and disruptive web technologies like cloud computing, internet service bus and Web 2.0 influence our life.
Lee is an active blogger for Capgemini's Technology Blog (http://www.capgemini.com/technology-blog) and his personal "lee's garbage collection" (http://blogs.webcoder.be/lee), he loves gadgets and last but not least, Lee is a massive social networker who strongly believes that applications like Facebook and Twitter are revolutionizing the way we are collaborating with each other.
Lee loves traveling and working with people from different cultures and has been for Capgemini in Belgium, Netherlands, France, Uganda, India and UK.
