Responsible for lifecycle custom software development and maintenance of engineering tools in the capacity management, facility planning and data warehousing space. Implement projects using system development methodologies including SDM (Software Development Methodology), SCRUM and Sprint’s enterprise development methodology. Recruit, mentor and train a regionally based staff of highly skilled software developers, testers, business analysts and project managers, and utilize off-shore contract labor for staff augmentation. Additional duties include strategic planning, risk mitigation, application road mapping, budgeting and forecasting. Projects range upwards of $2M and include predictive analytics tools with integrated KPI dashboards for capacity planning, forecasting and budgeting. Create and implement business decision software with what-if capability for determining when to augment equipment on the CDMA RF network, the CDMA push-to-talk network, the CDMA switched voice network and the 4G WiMax network which contribute to annual savings in excess of $20M in capital deferments and efficiencies gained through automation. Other projects include data warehousing and BI reporting against performance metrics, alarm detail records, network configuration data, wire-line Call Detail Records, ATM and Frame Relay metrics and burst-able IP packet data for billing purposes.
