MY VALUE-ADD? Clarity, simplicity, and measurable results! Do you want your projects to solve your stakeholder’s business automation requirements? Ask my LinkedIn Endorsers if our JAD sessions, our process flowcharts, and our project plans worked. They did!

DETAILS:

PROJECT INITIATION, REQUIREMENTS VALIDATION:
I am a JAD Facilitator who adds value in Agile (SCRUM), Waterfall, and mixed environments. By design, this simple BPA notation system is a proper subset of ver. 2 BPMN (Business Process Model Notation).

PMP, Sr Project Manager / Technical Business Analyst - Data Warehouse / ETL Workflow Automation

TEKsystems client AT&T / Bell South

August 2007October 2007 (3 months) Downtown Atlanta, GA

Project Managed concurrent Bell South Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence workflow projects, while the AT&T / Bell South merger and office relocation was underway. The data warehouse production environment used dimensional data architecture (star scheme). Data warehouse services were executed on a Teradata Corp. platform. Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) services from the production entity-relationship database (ERD) systems, to the Teradata system were automated by Connect:Direct (C:D) scripts. The focus of my projects was business process workflow documentation and analysis of these C:D scripts, as there was no script library, the ETL systems were undocumented, and script design and testing were not developed under either project management or version control.

I provided project scheduling and status reports using Microsoft Project operating in a MOSS (Microsoft Office SharePoint Services) system. During this period, due to the merger, the corporate data use taxonomy for the MOSS environment changed several times.

• Multiple Data Marts
• Data Mart Bus Architecture using:
o Conformed Dimensions
o Conformed Facts – MDM

Software Environment:
• Project Management Office (PMO)
o Microsoft Project
o SharePoint Portal
o Microsoft Office Suite
• Data Warehouse Architecture
o Modeling – Teradata Designer, ER Win, and Visio
o Meta Data – MDM
• Data Warehouse Production Systems
o Sourcing Automation – Connect:Direct
o Staging / ETL – Informatica
o Data Warehouse DBS – Teradata
o Business Analytics – Business Objects
