HP IT Threat Assessment and Response at Hewlett-Packard
Houston, Texas Area
I currently work in HP's IT Monitoring Services organization. I have been trained and currently am involved in deploying parts of HP's Business Technology Optimization Software (primarily SiteScope and BAC's Problem Isolation, and Quality Center).
I'd like to end up somewhere in the security arena. I took several classes at BYU dealing with Information security (Windows XP, Server 2003, Denial of service attacks, steganography, etc.), networking (introduction to Cisco networking devices- routers and switches, PBX systems), and forensics (data carving, experience with AccessData's FTK, Helix) and would like to pursue these areas in my career.
In the past, I've developed an online submission form in VB.net to facilitate and expedite outage submissions for HP's entire ISO L0-L2 organization (Infrastructure Support Operations), consisting of about 520 people. Web form retrieved outage ticket information from central database for update approval. Form also allowed for new outages to be reported and submitted via email for approval to be posted on HP's online alerts page.
Worked several years with customer support, primarily with the employees of the companies with whom I've been employed.
I am currently an assistant scoutmaster of a Boy Scout Troop. I help plan and teach activities to help the boys physically, mentally, and spiritually.
