Prior to joining the Information Technology Department with Hughes, I spent 3 to 5 years within the Credit/Accounts Receivable Department out of a local Admin Center in Charlotte, NC.
After joining our own Information Technology Department, I started out as Field Support Consultant to several branch locations. As an IT employee, I did operations/software training, assisted branch locations with business operations using tcl/ecl writing for data extraction and specialized reporting, and inventory on many different application platforms under different business models.
The position that I enjoyed the most was traveling extensively to branch locations from the West Coast, to the East Coast and training employees on operations, and being on the front line within our many software conversions, under different business models.
Prior to leaving Hughes in October of 2005, I worked as a Data Validation Coordinator. This included working extensively with branches in order to lead them through a six week Validation project during software conversions. Duties included traveling to the branches to conduct specialized training, data extraction from legacy platforms, weekly meetings with each group much like a project manager within a bigger project management platform.
