- Development Team Growth (Jan 2010 - Jan 2011)

Orchestrated and managed vendor development SOWs in excess of $10M+ annually to increase the number of development teams from 5 (with 50+ technical resources) to over 15 teams (with 150+ technical resources). The development capacity growth was driven by increasing business demand on the Rogers consumer and retail channel platforms. During this expansion, the development processes and practices were formalized and streamlined across all platforms which included implementing Scrum Agile and Kanban methodologies coexisting with traditional waterfall onshore/offshore development teams.

- iPad Market Launch (March 2010 - Jun 2010)

Put in charge to quickly build out a development team to deliver iPad on device activation flows for the Apple Canadian launch. Overcame compressed timelines (12 weeks), changing business requirements, apple certification and enabled a new pay in advance billing feature that leveraged existing billing system functionality. Rogers was the first carrier in Canada to launch the iPad 3G on device activation and was rewarded with significant market share due to this first mover advantage.

- Rogers eCommerce Turnkey Delivery Team (Jul 2009 - Dec 2009)

Lead the hiring and build out of Quality Assurance, Environments and Release Management teams and processes to provide eCommerce with a complete turnkey delivery team. This provided significant reductions in time to market and costs and also improved quality and collaboration between traditional business and IT departments.

- eCommerce Rogers.com Redesign (May 2009 - Oct 2009)

Parachuted into the rogers.com redesign project which had increased in scope beyond an HTML redesign into a full blown application and infrastructure upgrade as well as architecture changes which included Enedca search engine integration. Significant challenges were overcome with multiple vendors in the integration, testing and implementation phases.

Hired and managed the technical leads and environment resources to successfully install, configure, build, deploy and migrate customers to a new CA Siteminder security platform for Rogers.com. The project also included migrating a significant portion of the self service functionality from the legacy ASP platform to the new J2EE portal platform.

- Rogers.com New Platform & Redesign (Feb 2006 - Nov 2007)

Managed the development team and development vendor for migrating rogers.com browse and buy functionality from the legacy ASP platform to the newly designed J2EE portal platform. Also project managed the implementation and integration of Interwoven Teamsite as the content management system.

- Fido.ca Microcell/Rogers Migration (Jun 2005 – May 2006)

Built out a development and operations team to transition both the development and production support teams from Microcell to Rogers for the fido.ca portal. Project managed the roll out of the new fido.ca infrastructure and platform upgrade of both production and non-production environments. Also included in the data center migration was customer data migrations of fido.ca 1M+ user base which included user profile data, pop3 email and customer transaction history.
