Laurent, a French national who has lived and worked in the UK for over 16 years, founded Chez-Vous in 2006 along with fellow director Jayne Leighton Herd (www.linkedin.com/in/jayneleightonherd).

Having graduated with a degree in electronics, electrical and computer systems engineering, Laurent developed a successful technical career working for multinational, blue-chip telecoms and consumer electronics companies. Having extensive technical experience on a variety of telecoms and Customer Relationship Management systems, Laurent moved into marketing and business management roles but always anticipated the day he would run his own business.

With a vision for setting-up a company that would take people through the process of finding a property, styling it and maintaining it, Laurent and Jayne began by establishing the first strand of Chez-Vous: Chez-Vous HomeSearch to help the frustrated buyers and tenants of this country with property finding and relocation services.

Next came Chez-Vous HomeStyle and Art Chez-Vous, which are built around Jayne’s passions and talents as a professional property stylist and artist.

And lastly, Chez-Vous Property Services became the property maintenance arm of the company.

Laurent, a City & Guilds-qualified plumber and BPEC-certified in Water Regulations (shortly also to be Part P-certified in electricity), believes that while quality, skilled workmanship is paramount, this must be combined with exemplary customer service – communication, reliability and professionalism being key ingredients of this.

Laurent is a keen tennis player, and loves escaping to the mountains and ski slopes.
