Pro-Blogger, Freelancer, and Marketing Professional
Coventry, United Kingdom
I began my fulltime marketing career in July of 2008, fresh out of an strong academic background of Psychology (2:1 Hons) at university.
I am currently a Marketing Assistant responsible for all marketing activities across the UK, and am also supporting/covering a complicated Europe wide position as well. This demanding and exhilarating role sees me getting to grips with the ever-growing pharmaceutical market, a field with which I was totally unfamiliar prior to this role.
Within this position, I have a number of responsibilities, including but not limited to: budgets, copy approval, document commissioning, document creation, basic graphic design, meeting organisation, events management, promotional gifts, publications and advertising.
My area of speciality is not actually pharma focused. Instead, I have deliberately gained generic and extensive experience with top London advertising agencies, in press offices, and liaising with agencies. To further this knowledge, I am due to start my self-funded CIM Professional Certificate come September 2009.
Outside work I have made the decision to keep up my well-rounded skill set by freelancing mainly in the fields of copy, editing and proofreading. Alongside pro-blogger work, fashion writing and extensive editorial assignments, I also manage a personal blog and number of other sites to effectively channel my obsession with fashion, social media, travel and life in general. This interest has sparked an enthusiasm for web-copy and other web based marketing/activity.
You can visit my blog http://mysterycreature.wordpress.com to see a list of all that places I am represented on online social media.
