I am a lawyer cum anthropologist, engaged in supporting governance reform initiatives in Indonesia, strengthening civil society, providing humanitarian services, developing leadership training to promote sustainable development, and most recently assisting DPD (National Assembly of Local Representatives) as its Legal Expert. Served as a legal analyst and community resource management specialist [particularly in issues related to community-based natural resources management], a human resource development consultant, a managing editor [in socio-cultural, political and legal issues], a university lecturer [teaching Legal Drafting, Indonesian Constitutional Law and Political System], a researcher [mainly observing the State-society relations], a social worker [spending efforts to empower democratic institutions of grass-root communities] and a community volunteer in humanitarian services [such as in assisting the implementation of the UN/WFP's (United Nations World Food Program) pro-poor initiatives which included distribution of subsidized-rice, provide health-care services and coordinate bottom-up community development projects]. Experienced as a resource person in community organizing and institutional capacity building, skilled as a facilitator for multi-stakeholders’ dialogues [such as through the establishment of forums/networking like FKKM (Communication Forum on Community Forestry), Working Group of ADB (Asian Development Bank) and Indonesian NGOs/CSOs (Non-Government/Civil Society Organizations) and so forth]. Worked closely with key government officials and legislative members [in national, provincial and district levels], academicians, various NGO/CSO-workers and community [including adat] leaders, mass medias, business/private sector and international [donor] agencies.
