I did a six week intensive summer study program at the Universidad de Salamanca in 1995. This was a great opportunity as I learned a great deal about the culture and people of Spain. Being fully integrated into the Spanish community surrounding the university added to my language ability and I thrived. By the time I left Spain, I was fluent in Spanish, an asset that continues to help me career wise.
