The legendary film director David Lean once said, "The editor is the final author of a film."
As a third generation member of the media creation industries, my background includes extensive experience as a feature film and television editor for many of the top creatives at the world’s largest entertainment corporations, including Time Warner, Sony, Fox, MGM and Disney. In this role I supervised all creative aspects of the post-production process on projects with budgets ranging from 1 million to upwards of 80 million dollars.
With a passion for technology, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to be one of the earliest adopters of digital, non-linear, editing workflows. Along the way I became an adjunct professor at the American Film Institute's Center for Advanced Studies, and I created and taught courses on non-linear editing at UCLA. I have also been a consultant and speaker for companies such as Apple, Adobe, Macromedia, Avid and Radius and have written articles for periodicals including American Cinematographer, Editors Guild Magazine, DV and MacWorld.
In 1999, I created 2-pop.com, an Internet community dedicated to providing information about Apple's revolutionary new post-production software, Final Cut Pro. 2-pop quickly became the premier web destination for the rapidly growing digital video marketplace and was acquired by Creative Planet. It has an active community to this day at www.2-pop.com.
Jodada represents my latest and most exciting professional venture: the creation of a new company for a new generation of media. It combines my passions for storytelling, art and technology to create unique and authentic media experiences for every current and emerging distribution platform: the Internet, mobile devices, television, digital cinema and beyond.
Storytelling, immersive experience creation, data-centric media production and post production, alternative marketing, web development and publishing, social network development and management.
