My training, education, and experience have been in financial management. I have relied upon the wisdom and experience of my father to learn the marketing and advertising industry. I believe that like all things management, everything must be boiled down to building personal relationships with people; and making sure that you keep your promises and always remember to "do no wrong".
Accountability is the watchword for accountants and I believe my goal is to bring that same value to bear in the marketing and advertising field. Small businesses should expect people to "say what they mean, and mean what they say."
Statistics, government regualtions, contract negotiations, and copywriting.

The essence of Marketing is to perform research to find decision makers that have a need for your product or service and find out the what, when, where, and how of their purchases. Essentially where do they shop, what quality do they expect, etc. Guided by this research an advertising campaign message is designed with a call to action to purchase your product or service. The media selected for the advertising campaign is really a function of the research: what do your decision makers read, or listen to on the radio, or watch on television, with the when and where determined. Understanding your decision makers and their motivations, expectations, lifestyles, and attitudes is paramount in the success of any advertising or sales campaign.

While a student at Creighton University, I was appointed the Freshman Football coach and the Varsity Wrestling coach by the Athletic Director at Bishop Bergan High School in Fremont, Nebraska. Our football team went 8-2 and our wrestling team took third in the Class C State Wrestling tournament. I found that I loved to coach athletics but it just did not seem like the best career field for me. My wife was an English and Spanish teacher at Bishop Bergan High School for five years while I attened Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.
