One of his first jobs was apprentice mechanic at a Auckland service station workshop. 3 years into his 5 year apprenticeship he was made workshop manager and was incharge of two other apprentices and two qualified mechanics. 18 months later he had is first opportunity to start his own business.
At the age of 22 he started his first in the automotive industry.It was a small workshop that had been closed down for several months. Over the next six years he increased the turnover by 600% and purchased a mobile mechanic operation to supplement his workshop. In 2001 he moved the operation into larger premises and the operation grow to one of the North Shore best operations. He sold this operation in 2004 to an customer of the business.
In March 2003 Lance attended a Business seminar by Peter Sun from the Better Business Institute, this was a turning point for his direction in business and now he had found a industry that was more aligned with his beliefs and philosophy's.
Between march 2003 and april 2004 he created an exit strategy for his current business and laid the foundations for starting his business growth company.
