Recent academic research I am working on includes issues of election administration and efficacy/trust and developing models of citizen attitudes on energy issues. And, of course, I continue my work on ideological/partisan polarization, elections, and campaign finance.
I am also the executive director of a 501(c)3 charitable organization called The Institute for the Study of Energy and Our Future, which facilitates a web community/think tank called The Oil Drum, created to research and facilitate discussions about our energy future.
Academia: American politics: elections, political parties, public policy (namely energy policy), public opinion, political behavior, and political methodology (research design and analysis).
Consulting: research design and execution, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, expert testimony, jury pool selection, focus groups, etc.
General: statistical modeling and analysis, research design, qualitative analysis, report writing, course design, program evaluation, public speaking, etc.
