I hope to leave a major impact on the world in some form or another. The way I intend do this isn't quite clear yet, but, I do know it will probably have something to do with the internet and creating something that people will eventually take for granted--something so ubiquitous and useful that it would be hard for people to not use once they have tried it.
I believe that the future of computing will and must be mobile. I will not want to sit at my computer in order to get something done. I want to create something that will allow people to seamlessly integrate computers into their everyday lives.
I'm currently undergoing serious research into the semantic web. My experience is in coding PHP/MySQL back-end systems coupled with dynamic and simple Ajax interfaces. I am a rapid web application developer--I've been known to produce complex web tools months faster than my competitors... while taking 18 hours of classes at a University and with a 40 hr/week job programming Flash games.

Well, basically my job is two tiered. The first element is to write and modify Perl and PHP scripts as well as some client-side scripts in order to keep up and improve on the stability and efficiency of InfoTech's Intranet and other Business Applications. In fact, I'm currently working on an advance from-scratch intranet portal to bring InfoTech into the modern age. Very AJAXy and very functional. So far so good!
I digress...
The other element includes responding to support tickets pertaining to the above-mentioned services/technologies which includes server upgrades, administrative duties and the like.

I was hired to finish the award-winning folkvine.org website. My jobs included completing two of the folk artists' websites as well as creating some Flash-based "tour guides".
This project allowed me to experiment with new ways to develop using Ajax and other innovative technologies of the time.

I was hired to build the Southern Orchid website as a marketing tool. I built and designed the entire site (it was my very first one). I built a CMS for the owner to update and change items as well as a Task Management System for him to assign tasks to his real estate partners who were actually the salespersons for the company.

I was accepted into the Showcase for Undergraduate Research Excellence for my work on the Saporo.us web-based kitchen management tool. The site was a personal project that reflects my research on simple clean design, interactive interfaces, the mobile web, and the semantic web.
