Multi-discipline Marketing Maven
My passion is working on new, high-potential ideas. Usually this means supporting entrepreneurs and small business, but occasionally a forward thinking corporation will pop up.
I have a natural inclination towards research and analysis, which creates great returns during the execution phase of a program. The next wave of success will be built around communities, content, and targeted information. Building a tightly focused business is the most direct (and most difficult) way to create success.
My tech background is in embedded software, RTOS, and semiconductors. I've managed deployments in other areas, including designs based on PHP, Javascript, and Ruby.
In 2004, I completed a successful turnaround of a small media company.
My technical skills include programming languages, architecture, and multiple software protocols. I have programmed on ARM, SH, PowerPC, Sparc, and various other controllers.
As a manager, I have managed software projects ranging from small updates to large-scale global teams. I have developed backend systems, real time operating systems, file systems, graphic packages, and drivers for microprocessors.
The details of search engine optimization/search engine marketing and how they tie in to software has been a keen interest of mine for the past several years.
I have attended several marketing programs, including Pragmatic Marketing and Chasm training. In 2006, I participated in expert panel sessions in Hong Kong on the topics of WiMax and Mobile Technology.
I write blogs, website content, case studies, and white papers. The topics of the papers range from embedded systems, semiconductors, operating systems, Linux, flash memory, FPGAs, and file systems.
My current interests are in social media and community aspect of the web. I have become well acquainted with the softer aspects of online communities, including social psychology, culture, language, and personality.
