I work in at the University of Sheffield's Media Team, in the External relations. We are responsible for promoting the university in the media, responding to media inquiries and analysing the university's media coverage.
My personal roles include daily analysis of our coverage, with this extending to monthly, quarterly and annual analysis, also dealing with inquiries and updating the website.
I've got a range of interests including photography, the Middle East, politics and the media.
I have experience in editing, online publication, photography, video editing, using a variety of content management systems, writing for different platforms including print, working in fast-paced environments and of taking responsibility for a public-facing library site.
Programmes I am familiar with include Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Blogger, Word Press, InDesign and a variety of Content Management Systems.
I have qualifications in NCTJ Law and Public Admin.
Before this position, I worked part-time for the University library and was heavily involved in the student union.
