Co-inventor on several additional pending patents. GM also awarded me 3 tool-method inventions (trade secrets).
Recent work included business process modeling and marketing data analysis. Much experience in text mining, speech recognition, machine translation, controlled language, ontologies and knowledge representation.

Created VBA-based Excel tool to identify statistically-significant attribute values of large warranty datasets.

Directed technical development and managed DARPA budget for speech understanding systems, including ship health monitoring on US Navy IX-529 “Sea Shadow” and battlefield casualty reporting. Initiated new research area for pilot cockpit monitoring. Developed 700 text mining rules for intelligence gathering.

Managed multi-million dollar budget and contracts for translation of service information and owner manuals, resulting in order of magnitude cost reductions and all-new business processes. Managed translation software project for GM Canada resulting in cost reduction greater than 60% and time reduction of 40%. Managed $1M software development contract with Belgian company.
