Latitude Research is a forward-thinking market research company based in the Boston area. With implications for all communications- and information-based experiences in the new era, and with particular expertise in media, we study how people fundamentally interact with information across three intersecting axes: digital, social, & physical.
Our focus is on intelligent research that is not only highly relevant, but approaches big questions in interesting ways, using both traditional and creative techniques. Latitude adopts a people-centered research approach that places the interactor at the core.
We work to discover and develop emerging communication and information experiences that anticipate the next generation of user desires, and positively change the way that people relate to each other. We're continually exploring novel means of creating, capturing, visualizing, and spreading information.
New areas of exploration include: the convergence of digital and physical experiences (e.g. ways in which communication-based experiences impact how individuals navigate physical spaces, alter social relations, constructs, and movement in the offline realm, etc.), the open source knowledge movement and collaborative sharing, emerging economic models and "the new socialism," linked data, data visualization, and the internet of things, lead user studies, sustainability + digital intelligence, education and the next generation teacher ("education 2.0+"), and a great many others.
