Kenny Page’s Experience

  • Technical Director

    gt4 Limited

(Privately Held; 11-50 employees; Online Media industry)

    February 2005Present (4 years 10 months)

Currently leading the web development team in the delivery of public and private web solutions for a range of clients, particularly in the construction and hospitality industries.

  • Technical Director

    Clearfuse

(Privately Held; 1-10 employees; Online Media industry)

    February 2003January 2005 (2 years )

Worked on the production of a number of web based solutions. Primarily involved in the specification and development of a web based chauffeur/vehicle scheduling and billing system capable of supporting multiple timezones, currencies, and taxation systems whilst retaining a multi-faceted, ultra-thin front end capable of working in lightweight browsing environments such as mobile devices.

  • Technical Architect

    Advoco Consulting

(Privately Held; 1-10 employees; Online Media industry)

    August 2002January 2003 (6 months)

Advoco Consulting was a young startup focused on the provision of technical services for leading edge technology projects. The company provided development services to a number of organisations, resulting in the provision of a number of online solutions, including a secure, lightweight but adaptable handheld betting application.

Unfortunately, the failure to obtain necessary funding saw the company dissolve shortly after it was formed.

  • Senior Developer

    Marcat Limited

(Privately Held; 11-50 employees; Online Media industry)

    September 2000August 2002 (2 years )

In the role of senior developer, I was the client face of the development team and responsible for the architecture and specification of web solutions for clients. Clients included Scottish Enterprise, Historic Scotland, Visit Scotland, Scotland the Brand, Harper Collins & Idesta.

In 2002, after achieving certification in the development of sites based on the MediaSurface platform and having worked around it's limitations, I introduced the Obtree CMS platform to Marcat and it's clients.

I left Marcat in the autumn of August 2002 as the company refocused away from the provision of web solutions to develop the Vamosa range of content migration tools, initially to assist in the migration of content into the Obtree CMS platform.

  • Managing Director

    Infoneer Limited

(Privately Held; 1-10 employees; Online Media industry)

    October 1998September 2000 (2 years )

Formed Infoneer after spotting a gap in the market for a specialist consultancy providing server side web development support to the emerging new media market.

In addition to this market, the company also supported a number of clients directly, resulting in the creation of a number of large scale property portals, and web based business critical intranets.

As Managing Director of a small company, I fulfilled sales / business development, accounting, payroll, human resources and IT manager roles in addition to performing billable client work.

Sold the company as a going concern in 2000 to it's largest client, Marcat.

  • Technical Consultant

    MicroStaff Limited

(Privately Held; 11-50 employees; Information Technology and Services industry)

    May 1990October 1998 (8 years 6 months)

Initially, duties involved providing classroom style training in mainstream PC applications (Lotus 1-2-3 r2.01, r2.3, r2.4, r3.0, r3.01, r1.0 for Windows, dBase III PLUS, dBASE IV, RapidFile, Wordstar 3.4, 4.0, WordPerfect 5.1, DataEase, MS-DOS 5.x / 6.x, Windows 3.x, Word for Windows, Excel, PowerPoint & Access) and specialist applications (GPASS).

Laterly, as networking became more commonplace, I was responsible for the specification, installation, configuration and ongoing maintenance of client networks based on Sage MainLAN, Novell Netware 3.x / 4.x, Windows NT 3.x / 4.x and IBM AS/400 connectivity solutions.

In 1995, with the release of IIS 1, I became invovled in the development of web based company information systems and web based database front ends, culminating in the release of a nationally recognised web solution for issue tracking, contact management and employee scheduling in 1998.
