In the role of senior developer, I was the client face of the development team and responsible for the architecture and specification of web solutions for clients. Clients included Scottish Enterprise, Historic Scotland, Visit Scotland, Scotland the Brand, Harper Collins & Idesta.
In 2002, after achieving certification in the development of sites based on the MediaSurface platform and having worked around it's limitations, I introduced the Obtree CMS platform to Marcat and it's clients.
I left Marcat in the autumn of August 2002 as the company refocused away from the provision of web solutions to develop the Vamosa range of content migration tools, initially to assist in the migration of content into the Obtree CMS platform.

As Managing Director of a small company, I fulfilled sales / business development, accounting, payroll, human resources and IT manager roles in addition to performing billable client work.
