Mike graduated from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado, with a degree in Accounting and a focus in computer information systems in 1990. Mike is currently working on his Master's in Management Information Systems at the University of Phoenix.

During college and after graduation, Mike also worked as a cost analyst and division business manager for one of the county's leading environmental consulting firms. Mike's major focus was on cost accounting and business management using in-house mainframe software. Mike developed hundreds of custom reports for different business units.

In 1994 Mike joined a national software vendor in the LBM industry. Mike initially worked in the Customer Support department and the Software Training department. Mike has been working as an independent industry consultant and trainer since 2001. Mike provides regular software training services, outsourced accounting services, network installation and diagnostic services and a wide variety of data management and reporting services. Mike also teaches independently to companies and individuals and provides consulting for projects involving the Microsoft suite of applications. In addition, Mike provides training and consulting in the QuickBooks line of software products.
