My background includes 10 years in residential mortgage sales, 3 years in technical recruiting (headhunting) and 4 years in manufacturing sales. But it has only been since 2006 that I have been employed at a job where I am doing exactly what I want to be doing.
Government affairs is a stressful but rewarding field in politics. As the political leader of an association that includes more than 10,000 individual companies, nationwide, I have a great deal of influence and responsibility. My position is often referred to as the "local lobbyist".
I also participate on several political and non-political boards. The Newhall Redevelopment Committee is a good example of where I put both my political and construction background to work.
