Key member of team promoting ATI products to aerospace, chemical processing/oil & gas, consumer, energy, medical, and other markets. Leads ATI's ACHEMA and NACE (CPI) efforts as well as participating on the company's Farnborough and Paris Air Show Steering Committees (and representing ATI at both events).
Outside of the corporation, has written for Business Viewpoint, Main Ingredient (resort, restaurant, wine, craft beer and other feature stories), and Stainless Steel World News (www.kci-world.com) as well as other magazines. Contributor of more than 1000 articles to a wide range of magazines, newspapers, web sites, and other media.
Meeting/conference producer. From 1997 to present, planned and managed the international Corrosion Solutions Conference (corrosionconference.com), which draws participants from around the world (14 countries represented in 2009). Independentally developed and launched forums focused on Competitive Intelligence (World Trade Center, Portland, OR) and Lean Manufacturing (OSU, Corvallis, OR).
Long-time member of Northwest Art & Air Festival Executive Board. Named Oregon's Volunteer of the Year in 2003 by the Festivals and Events Association (and top 16 nominee worldwide). The NWAAF draws many hot air balloonists and thousands of visitors to the Willamette Valley every August (www.nwartandair.org).
