Kirby C. Smith’s Summary

Kirby started his real estate career in 1995 with a Metro Brokers company. After 3 successful years helping families buy and sell homes, he started his own real estate company, Cherry Tree Properties, Inc., also under the Metro Brokers umbrella. At that time in 1998, he also became a partner in the Metro Brokers office, The 7500 Corp., with approximately 45 brokers. Today, Kirby and his partner Tom Mannix continue to successfully operate the franchise—one of the oldest and largest Metro Brokers offices in existence.
Cherry Tree Properties, Inc., has also seen much growth since then, and today boasts seven brokers closing over $10,000,000 in real estate per year. In fact, since 1995, Kirby and his company have closed over $100,000,000 in real estate and sold more than 500 homes.
In late 2005, Kirby was elected to the Metro Brokers Inc. Board of Directors, where he has served since. In 2007, Kirby was elected President Elect of Metro Brokers Inc., a position he will serve until he becomes the President in 2009. Metro Brokers is currently made up of over 1,700 brokers and 85 offices throughout Colorado and Arizona.
Kirby’s interests include spending as much time as possible with his family—wife Wendy, and three sons, Dylan, Parker and Bennett. Waterskiing and camping take up much of their summers, and snowboarding and watching his sons play lacrosse takes up most of the rest. Kirby is also currently on the Board of Directors for the Arapahoe High School Boys Lacrosse Club, and has been elected to be President of the club in 2009. Since 1988, Kirby and Wendy have lived, worked, and been active in the Centennial community.
