  • Project Manager/Brand Manager

    Allen Hall Advertising

    (Marketing and Advertising industry)

    June 2008June 2009 (1 year 1 month)

In my role as Project Manager/Brand Strategist at UO's student-run agency, I coordinate and collaborate with creative directors, digital strategists, copywriters, media planners and research strategists to create and execute the awareness and branding campaign for the New Venture Championship (NVC) - a U of O run MBA international business plan competition. I manage a budget of $33,000 and work closely with professors from the Business and Journalism Schools to ensure the fluidity of the annual Portland-based event.

  • Rosey Awards Volunteer Coordinator

    Portland Advertising Federation

    (Marketing and Advertising industry)

    September 2008November 2008 (3 months)

I coordinated the volunteers for and sat on the planning committee for Portland Advertising Federation’s largest annual event.

  • Front End Supervisor

    Gap Inc.

    (Public Company; GPS; Retail industry)

    July 2004November 2008 (4 years 5 months)

I gained leadership experience by managing the cashier team as well as budgeting experience by taking responsibility for all money entering and leaving the store. Through my work in customer service, I had countless opportunities to exercise and fine tune my skills in diplomacy, damage control, reason and logic.

  • CoLaboratory Intern

    Portland Advertising Federation

    (Marketing and Advertising industry)

    July 2008August 2008 (2 months)

During the six week program, I worked with ten agencies, specifically spending two intense weeks with three of the agencies (eROI, Anvil Media, Fish Marketing). In addition to learning the functions of the agencies, I was the Account Manager/Strategist in a team of fellow CoLab interns in which we developed a branding/awareness campaign for an actual client. At the conclusion of the internship, the campaign was pitched to the client as well as members of the Portland Ad Fed.

  • Program Rep.

    IUSI

    (Higher Education industry)

    January 2008June 2008 (6 months)

I spoke to Spanish classes at the University of Oregon about IUSI's study programs in Mexico. Once study abroad groups formed, I helped prepare students for the student abroad experience during orientation meetings.
