CoLaboratory Intern at Portland Advertising Federation
Portland, Oregon Area
This fall I will enter my fourth and final year at the University of Oregon, double majoring in Advertising and Spanish and double minoring in Communications and Latin American studies. This year I’ve taken on the role of Brand Manager/Account Director for the New Venture Championship account in our student run ad agency, Allen Hall Advertising. I am currently interning with the CoLaboratory internship program sponsored by Portland Advertising Federation and will be interning with the account management team at Funk/Levis this upcoming year.
My experiences thus far have allowed me to and gain insights into the world of advertising/marketing/branding as well as learn Spanish and understanding other cultures through immersion. Through my experiences, I have also gained insights into the fields of: project management, new ventures, social networking, integrated marketing and interactive marketing.
Upon graduation, I hope to work at an agency with fellow forward thinking, creative, collaboration-driven individuals.

During the six week program, I worked with ten agencies, specifically spending two intense weeks with three of the agencies. In addition to learning the functions of the agencies, I was the Account Manager/Strategist in a team of fellow CoLab interns in which we developed a branding/awareness campaign for an actual client. At the conclusion of the internship, the campaign was pitched to the client as well as members of the Portland Ad Fed.

I am currently managing the New Venture Championship account. NVC is a premier international business plan competition, however, it lacks proper awareness and recognition. Over the year, I will manage a budget of $32,000 and lead a team of six to strategize, develop, and execute an effective awareness campaign.
