Attorney at the Alan Maestas Law Office
Santa Fe, New Mexico Area
I am a criminal defense attorney at the Alan Maestas Law Office in Taos, New Mexico. I handle felony and misdemeanor cases, with a special emphasis on sex crimes.
I am also a cultural property law scholar, and the author of The Cultural Property & Archaeology Law Blog. Since law school, my accomplished goal has been to publish one law journal article per year.
Through Lawyerbird Legal Research & Writing, I offer contract attorney services to select attorneys nationwide. I blog about my freelance work at Lawyer On! The Contract Attorney's Blog.
Finally, I am a writer. This interest underscores all others. My broader lifetime goal is to perfect my mastery of the written word. When I am not writing on legal issues, I am writing for scholarly publications, personal publications, the local newspaper, and my blogs.
