#REDTECHCITY - Creating a vibrant tech startup scene in Redbridge

June 2013November 2013 (6 months) London Borough of Redbridge

Creating a vibrant tech startup scene in Redbridge

#REDTECHCITY was created by Khalid Sharif as he felt it was easier to launch a tech start-up in Greenwich, Waltham Forest, Shoreditch, Croydon etc than it was in his own Borough. Initially beginning with small tech discussion groups it has moved to an initiative strongly supported on twitter and beyond to create a tech city in Redbridge. He is in contact with local media, businesses, schools and politicians. He is in touch with several of the other tech cities across the UK who have kindly been advising us.

As Khalid has a strong background of volunteering in educational charities there will of course be a huge focus on Raspberry Pi and Coding clubs for schools.

Please help us build a vibrant tech startup scene in Redbridge. This would include talks, networking, coworking spaces, hackathons, training, access to funding and mentors.
