I am an Assistant Professor of Instructional Technology at North Carolina State University in Raleigh. My research interests center on the application of Web-based design objects and cognitive tools in support of student-centered teaching and learning. I am currently involved in a number of state-funded evaluations through NC State's Friday Institute, including the North Carolina Virtual Public School (NCVPS) and a state pilot study of Learn and Earn High Schools implementing one-to-one computing.
I previously served as Co-Director of the SouthEast Initiatives Regional Technology in Education Consortium (SEIRTEC), a federal program operating out of the SERVE Regional Education Lab (REL), and as an Instructional Designer and Evaluator with Virginia Tech's Educational Technologies faculty development group.
