March 1987 — September 1992 (5 years 7 months)
This was my first job right out of college. It was a great place to learn with lots of opportunities to get great work produced. I worked with some of the best people in the business here, many of whom are now at some of the top creative shops in the business. I won lots of awards and was recognized at Cannes, The Clios and had my work featured in Business Week, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Adweek, Advertising Age, Art Direction, The Print Design Annual, the St. Louis Post Dispatch and The St. Louis Journalism Revue. My biggest claim to fame however was, along with my partner at the time, Terry Taylor, conceiving the idea that won the Burger King Business for the New York Office of DMB&B. This accounted for $120 million in new business (the account as split between DMB&B and another agency so the account actually totaled $240 million) which was at the time the biggest account shift in the history of advertising. I was smart enough to keep all proof of this (in writing) evidence and would be more than happy to provide said evidence for anyone who wishes to challenge the validity of this claim or whom remembers things differently.

Biology 1997 — 1997
B.S. , Mass Communications , 1983 — 1997
Southern Illinois University is the best thing that ever happened to me as a writer. The requirements for Mass Communications and Journalism at this school are some of the most demanding of any in the country. So demanding that if you failed a class twice, you had to change your major. Period. Needless to say, after making it through this program, the dog eat dog world of advertising has been a piece of cake.
