I am currently the Coordinator of Composition in the English Department at Kutztown University. My job entails promoting a student-centered and process-oriented approach to the teaching of writing, broadening faculty understanding of the field of composition and rhetoric, and promoting a writing culture at Kutztown University. I also run our Directed Self-Placement program, which assists about 2000 incoming students choose their first-year composition courses.
Publications: Democracies to Come: Rhetorical Action, Neoliberalism and Communities of Resistance. Lexington Books (division of Rowman and Littlefield), May 2008. Co-authored with Rachel Riedner of the George Washington University.
I am also an Executive Committee member of our faculty union, APSCUF-KU.
