Data Center Partner Executive at Novell
Washington D.C. Metro Area
Kevin is currently a Partner Executive at Novell, accelerating business development and enablement with a select list of value-added distributors (VADs) on Novell Data Center solutions.
He recruited, developed and managed a set of strategic solution provider/reseller partners. These partners participated in the sales, deployment and implementation of Novell Data Center solutions including SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, PlateSpin workload management, virtualization and consolidation, and more. He helped partners better understand the Novell vision and message, and helped them to relate that to their own direction and goals. He then worked with them to build a business plan, actionable steps, and execute on that plan.
Kevin was also a Technology Specialist (aka. pre-sales engineer, systems engineer, technical specialist, solution architect, category specialist) for the Linux/Open Platform Solutions team in the East region for Novell, Inc. He was responsible for helping customers identify ways to meet or exceed their business objectives with Novell technologies, particularly surrounding SUSE Linux Enterprise Server and Desktop solutions. He was also involved in NetWare/Open Enterprise Server, GroupWise, ZENworks and Identity Management solutions. As part of the pre-sales account team he worked with customers, partners, and ISVs/IHVs to help Novell grow and improve customer satisfaction. During his over 10 years at Novell, Kevin has served as both a Systems Engineer (SE) and Business Partner Technical Manager for what was formerly known as the Mid-Atlantic district.
Prior to Novell, Kevin worked as a systems engineer and consultant for a large federal integrator – BDM International (eventually acquired by TRW and then Northrop Grumman Mission Systems). He was involved in a variety of system design and network implementations (often including Novell products) for a large number of clients – including federal, commercial and non-profit organizations.
