Fresh perspectives, creative solutions

"Communicate fresh perspectives, solve problems creatively, lead with integrity, learn with respect." I figure if I can somehow do those four things in my job, then I'll be accomplishing something.
Innovation and strategy on the web. Writing. Project planning and coordination. Web usability. Developing creative, effective communication solutions for business. Refining policies. Creating systems that make things more efficient. Online fundraising for not-for-profits.

My work at UGM focuses on three main areas:
1. Web strategy: I oversee UGM's intranet (The Hub) and our website (www.ugm.ca), helping improve the flow of information externally and internally. I'm the social media strategist, leveraging new online tools to advance UGM’s presence on the web, and boost our online fundraising efforts.
2. Project planning: I work closely with the Director of Resource Development to manage projects for the department, building tools, templates and projects that make things zing. This part of my job is all about making systems that make things more efficient.
3. IT Coordination: I tag-team it to help manage UGM’s technology initiatives, liaise with our external IT providers, and produce long-term plans for further IT development.
