Ketema Harris's Overview
Ketema Harris' Summary
With a rigorous eye for the simplest, smallest detail, with vision, logic, and skill to integrate complex systems, from trouble-shooting and diagnosis to designing and executing stable solutions, I am a technology leader with proven management skills. I’ve made Midnight Oil Consulting, Inc. into a valuable, reliable, strategic, and technically savvy collaborator for our clients.
Our expertise: Project Direction and Management; Database Design, Development, and Management; Web Programming; and VOIP Telephony. I have spent countless hours as a programmer, my first love, and I have worked for more than a decade to earn a simple reputation: work gets done on time, error free, efficiently and seamlessly and we collaborate with clients to increase capacity and staff competencies, so they can best generate and serve customers.
My experiences in the U.S. Navy and in the private sector have provided me with comprehensive technical expertise, the ability to lead and collaborate with team members, and the insights to determine and serve the needs of clients and end users. During my naval tenure, I completed the Naval Nuclear Power Training Program and I served on-board the nuclear aircraft carrier USS Enterprise.
From the executive suite to the individual computer terminal, for large and small firms, energy and communications companies, technically oriented businesses and major law firms, I’ve developed systems that streamline operations, increase sales, acquire and manage strategic data, and ensure that correct technologies are always in place for proper growth and future advancement.
Project Management and Programming: PHP, Perl, .Net

Ketema Harris' Projects
FLUX -- Workflow Management System
- September 2011 to Present
An internal workflow management system for tracking progress of hiring, firing, and recruiting for a multi-million dollar medical recruiting firm on the Space Coast built using Lithium PHP and PostgreSQL. As a by-product, we took a couple unseasoned developers and helped them grow into an efficient, pair-programming, test-driven agile development team.
Asterisk Custom SIP Module
- August 2010 to February 2011
Customized the SIP module in Asterisk to work with Cisco 79xx and 89xx series VoIP phones to provide a full, feature-rich environment capable of managing a call center servicing a nationwide work comp insurance provider with 70+ users.
Just a few of the features implemented include: Busy Lamp Field/Function (BLF), Video Call Conferencing, Enhanced Caller-ID, Company Directory, Paging, SIP over TCP (versus UDP only) and many other great features.
We also integrated a third party head's up display (HUD) software that allowed the reception staff the capability to easily perform a myriad of functions such as drag and drop call transfers to users, voice mail or cell phones as well as the ability to transfer calls to parking lots, hunt groups or conference bridges among many other things.
Using this proprietary SIP module and the HUD, TMS personnel were provided with any extremely cost-effective, enterprise level telephony solution to manage both our call center and corporate HQ operations efficiently and professionally.
