With a background in IT consulting and project management, I'm helping the Board of Directors for non-profit organizations "do more with less" by utilizing technology (such as collaboration software and online tools) to reduce operating costs and make the most out of limited resources (both financial and personnel) without getting in the way of achieving organization goals.
Non-profit technical standards organizations, event management, project management, account management, running a virtual office.

As Corporate Secretary I'm responsible for managing operations and administration of the organization as well as providing secretariat services. I help set the agenda, assist in running Board meetings, am responsible for budget, finance, accounting, and membership activities, and maintain and support the Web site and Kavi software. There's even time to deal with logistics around travel and events such as conferences.

Kavi is the leading provider of enterprise-class solutions for standard-setting organizations. Over 120,000 users representing 10,000 companies operate in Kavi-powered standards organizations.
As an Account Manager I was responsible for existing customer accounts as well as building positive long-term relationships with new clients; working closely with internal project managers and engineering teams to see that solutions were delivered as advertised and our customers were satisfied; I consulted with customers in a technical selling situation, dealt with pricing and basic contract negotiations, and supported the Sales team by providing technical assistance and proposals for new sales.

While at Merant I provided platform-wide solutions for Fortune 500 corporations as a Certified Software Professional. During engagements at client sites I Installed and configured our suite of PVCS applications; delivered formal presentations, product demos, and hosted meetings with project leaders and management teams; I also trained and certified their project teams.
I was independently managed and required to solve problems in a variety of environments under tight schedules while traveling on short notice. I also served as a PVCS Answerline rep providing tech support for our other consultants as well as troubleshooting advanced client issues.
