Also is the author of such books as The Positive Parent: Raising Healthy, Happy and Achieving Children, Birth through Adolescence, Black Parenting: Strategies for Training, The CICC Discovery Tool, Parent Training Today, and The Power of Positive Parenting. In addition, Dr. Alvy has designed and authored several parenting skill-building programs like Confident Parenting, Effective Black Parenting and Los Ninos Bien Educados.

The Center's parenting programs are now in use in 44 states and the District of Columbia, and millions of parents, from all cultural backgrounds and life circumstances, have been assisted in being more humane and effective in raising their children. Dr. Alvy has orchestrated this growth, as well as having written the organization's main parenting programs.
