Kenny Golde's Summary
Kenny Golde was raised in the West San Fernando Valley in the 1970’s, a time of open lots and orange groves when a kid could still ride his bike home from little league practice after dark.
Upon graduating from Berkeley in 1989, Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, Kenny began a career in the film industry. He started as a producer of independent films such as “Keys to Tulsa” starring Eric Stoltz, James Spader and Cameron Diaz in one of her first roles, the widely released Rodney Dangerfield comedy “Meet Wally Sparks” and the teen-angst drama, “The Smokers,” with Dominique Swain.
Kenny began directing film with the dark-comedy short “Food for Thought,” which he sold to HBO. His first feature film was the thriller, “The Job”, starring Daryl Hannah, released by Lions Gate Films, and in 2008 he finished “Uncross the Stars,” starring Ron Perlman and Academy Award nominee Barbara Hershey.
Kenny's Sci-Fi adventure “Apollo Main” is available on Amazon.com, and the historical fiction novel, “When Love Cannot Be,” earned him a faculty position at the prestigious Pike’s Peak Writers Conference. His latest book, “The Do-It-Yourself Bailout,” is Kenny’s personal story of negotiating against major U.S. banks to reduce $212,000 in credit card debt to just $30,000 in six months.
It was during his college years that Kenny began traveling overseas, first on a bicycling trip to Europe to visit his brother, a soldier stationed in Italy, and then to Jerusalem for his junior year. Instantly “bit by the travel bug,” while abroad Kenny discovered a new interest in photography while journeying through Israel, Egypt, Turkey, Greece, Hungary and the former Yugoslavia. In the years since, Kenny has continued capturing his travels in imagery in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, Italy, France, England and Venezuela. Kenny’s photography was recently feature at the opening of the Loft Spa and Salon in Beverly Hills.
