Ken is a Career Adviser (CDF) a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Master Practitioner (C118608), and the founder of Solid Rock Consulting Group, LLC a firm specializing in the use of the MBTI as a dynamic way of helping others achieve the utmost human productivity and performance.
Ken offers individual career advising as well as individual and group seminars on communication, conflict management, employee diagnostics, sales training, relationship development using the Myers-Briggs.
Ken is also a career development professional and the Assistant Director of the Career Services Center at Eastern Michigan University. Since 1985, Ken has helped thousands of college students, parents and alumni choose career paths, and understand the “power of personality” as they sculpt their career/relationship choices using the MBTI. Ken has also helped university administrators and staff better understand how to increase communication within departments, understand leadership styles, manage and resolve conflict and increase productivity through the “power of personality” via the MBTI.
Prior to coming to Eastern Michigan University in 1985 Ken had a successful career in the field of outside sales and Industrial Sales. In the mid 1980’s Ken was a national sales leader for several chemical companies.
Ken also for many years was an adjunct professor of Industrial Distribution at Eastern Michigan University within EMU’s College of Technology. Ken taught Industrial Sales, Sales Training, Leadership, Relationship Selling, Conceptual Selling, Relationship Strategies, Time and Territorial Management and Senior Seminar. Ken also created two of the original Industrial Distribution courses still taught in the ID curriculum at EMU today.
In addition, Ken coached High School basketball for 20yrs mostly at the Head Coach position and enjoyed every moment of it!
