I'm a web designer with a strong passion for music and the arts.

I founded Event Ireland in 2005, a creative web agency based in Kilkenny providing blog and web site design, graphic design and photography services. We design sites that work well for our clients but we also help them understand how they can get the most of the web. Event Ireland has expanded its service offerings in 2009, as a result is now trading as Event Media.

I also founded Kilkenny Music in 2005, now a 1,000+ member music community promoting music and the arts in Kilkenny. We actively promote acts online (blogs, podcasts, digital distribution) and offline (showcase nights, tours, press, radio). I organise over thirty music-based events and gigs a year.

I co-founded The Devious Theatre Company in 2006, filling a void in amateur theatre in Kilkenny for adults in the 20-30 age bracket. We create and produce original pieces of theatre for audiences our own age, and it works, very well.

I founded My Music in 2007 as an extension to Kilkenny Music. In 2008 this grew into My Music PR and My Music Artists International, representing some of the finest musicians on the roots music scene in the US and Australia. We work closely with these acts to promote their music within Ireland.

One of my weekly podcasts, the Playlist Mix, won 'Best Podcaster' at the 2008 Irish Web Awards in October 2008.

I enjoy getting involved in community events and organisations, having organised a number of unconference events (PodCamp, CreativeCamp) in 2007 and 2008 as well as working with a number of non-profit groups in Kilkenny including the Rockfall Festival (2007, 2008).

I have also held a seat on the board of directors of Young Irish Film Makers (YIFM.com) since 2005.

Since then it has grown into a 1000+ member community embracing music and the arts online and offline. We host regular weekend gigs, tri-weekly showcase nights and a weekly music podcast.

Under KKM we also engage with artists in promoting their music online and off - press strategies, web strategies, PR campaigns, studio recording, live recording, bookings, all under the one roof.

My role is in the overall management of the organisation from a planning and development stage through to finance, administration, booking and promotion.
