My current role as Managing Director of the Virtual World Design Centre has three distinct elements: I am a creative director, overseeing a team of designers and developers building 3D virtual world environments for business, government, and education. In working with educators in this new field, I am an instructional designer on the frontier, working to make sense of the vastness of virtual worlds and helping educators meet their learning outcomes in unique and engaging ways. I am also a metaverse evangelist, spreading the good news about 3D synthetic environments and their potential...and the good news is "fun". I speak frequently at conferences about social media and the 3D internet.
