Ken organized, and became president of an independent group of eight illustrators to form the B!G Illustration Group. This collaboration of talent allowed for a greater pool of resources thereby creating opportunity to develop unique ways to promote and sell illustrations to existing and new markets.

• Developed a business plan, organized events such as B!G Breakfasts for art buyers and promoted the group via websites and direct marketing mailers.

The Illustrators Partnership of America is a non profit trade association which helps artists assert the value or their work, educate artists on how to protect and manage their intellectual property and engage research to authenticate secondary licensing of artists works.
• Responsible for all day to day activities of the organization which include: maintaining membership database, website development, creating a budget and tracking expenses, recording membership renewals, creating press releases and announcements.
• Develop, Coordinate and Promote special events such as IPA Drawing Retreat, IPA Gallery through direct mail, phone calling and networking.
• Built collaborative professional relationships with other organizations in order to inform and address the needs of illustrators: Norman Rockwell Museum, Art Schools.

Recognizing the changes within the industry due to the emergence of stock houses in the illustration field, Ken joined with other respected illustrators to become an advocate for artist controlled licensing of illustration.
• Wrote and published articles about the adverse effects stock houses had on the illustration industry.
• Instrumental in the production of Brad Holland's Stock Roundtable video, which was sent out to over 500 art schools free of charge to help students understand the developments they would be facing in the world of freelance illustration.
• Founder and editor of The Illustrators' News, a quarterly publication addressing issues critical to the illustration industry.

Ken Dubrowski began a career as a freelance, professional illustrator creating spot illustrations for trade publications. He quickly built a strong client list and shortly thereafter, his work was appearing in such publications as, The Washington Post, The New York Law Journal, The Boston Globe, Hippocrates Magazine, Cahner's Publishing, Inc. Magazine and for corporations like Sprint, Scudder's Investment, Merrill Lynch and Mobil.

All assignments built on student’s abilities and skills while adding complexity to the illustration processes.
ß Sophomore Media Techniques: Gave students their first exposure to a mixed range of artist’s techniques from pencil to pen and ink to pastel to watercolor and acrylic painting.
ß Senior Illustration Portfolio Class: Responsible for the development of senior illustration portfolio material based on the student's professional focus. Helped students discuss their needs in designing a portfolio by creating promotional material, collating a client mailing list and learning how to use the web to create and promote an illustration portfolio web site.
