President, Colman & Company, Leadership and Organizational Performance by Design
Greater Denver Area
As President of Colman & Company, I promote our mission of seeking to foster the emergence of healthy, sustainable organizations such that they develop the capacity to inspire and to thrive strategically and financially in the fulfillment of their purpose.
We see organizational health as a state in which the leaders, individuals, and teams of the organization are able to achieve their fullest potential, both individually and collectively, such that the passion, creativity, adaptability, and alignment that result is greater than that which can be achieved by individuals acting separately.
I am a member of the Colorado Human Resource Association, Colorado Association of Commerce and Industry, International Coaching Federation and the National Speaker's Association (Colorado chapter).
I am a leadership, team & communications coach working within Fortune 500 companies as well US and foreign governments, (Canada) non-profits, schools and universities. I am a frequent workshop speaker as well as the author of articles on leadership.

From a leadership perspective, who has most inspired you and why? The greatest example of leadership was modeled by my Great Grandfather, Senator Burton Kendall Wheeler. This US Senator from Montana was known for his uncompromising integrity and an unrelenting commitment to questioning the status quo. Growing up with him and being in his presence left quite an impression on me, our family ...and on Congress. As President Harry Truman said about him, "one of the greatest periods of my life has been my association with Burton Wheeler." You may remember him from the movie about his days as a junior senator, the classic Jimmy Stewart entitled, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. In this Academy Award-winning classic from director Frank Capra, you get to see him having his hopes dashed by the unstoppable, repressive Washington scene. He persevered and the rest is history. Burton Kendall Wheeler, enjoyed a 22 year tenure in the Senate, and a 1924 run for Vice President.
