Ken Burkett’s Summary

I've been fortunate to receive a 360 degree view of the pharmaceutical delivery model from my experiences in community & institutional pharmacy, PBM, Pharmaceutical manufacturer, and also a pharmacy transaction switching company.
While recognized as Colorado Pharmacy Educator of the Year 1997, and Clincal Manager of the Year in 2000; emerging technologies have played a major part in crafting solutions Ken has developed uniting value among its health care constituents.

Benefiting from years of hands on involvement remaking pharmacy operations and clinical systems, developing solutions for clients such as the Dept of Defense, VA, AdvancePCS or McKesson to drive use of generics, preferred drugs and mail order-- also design automated tools to limit utilization of costly drugs.

Involvement in e-business is where much of his work was included in patents filed to create a self service PBM, clinical decision support and several other marketing programs such as the Fortified Benefit were ground breaking in their time.
Later, as a rebate contract negotiator he was responsible for contracting over $200 million of rebate payments from over three dozen pharmaceutical companies.

At the sale of PCS to Caremark, joined a Sciele Pharma, where built a core of 8 regional account managers expanding managed care access and the renegotiation of non performing contracts.

Ken re focused his efforts on an idea to create a series of real time pharmacy messaging tools—later named on several patents for the creation and expansion of the NotifyRx, eVoucher, Therapeutic Alternative Program whose logic is used in many pharmacies ability to offer the "$4.00 generic" programs today.

Ken designed and commercialized these programs through creation of over 200 new relationships with pharmaceutical companies that resulted in nearly $190 million in expanded business over a course of 18 months which resulted in the eventual sale to McKesson in 2007.
