Development of the now ABET accredited BS in Computer Science program at ISU.
My research still continues in mathematical and computer modeling, especially if related to environmental or biological systems.
Chair duties involve administering the program, and mentoring new faculty.
I still teach mainly the mathematically oriented courses in the CS program, and in the College of Engineering.

In 1996, I was selected as ISU's "Distinguished Teacher", and later that year, "Idaho Professor of the Year", by the CASE Foundation.

In 1983 I was awarded the Ralph Huston Prize for Distinguished Teaching as a graduate student.
Mathematics and Physics 1977 — 1978
I attended the ETH Zuerich for one year as a "fachhoerer", on the RPI-ETH exchange program, as my first year in graduate school, studying math and physics courses. The coursework I took eventually counted towards my graduate degree subsequently awarded at RPI in Mathematics.
