Kelly Fitz’s Summary

I am a digital signal processing engineer specializing in the design and implementation of audio analysis, processing, and synthesis algorithms for desktop and embedded applications. I write programs and software components for real-time and non-real-time sound processing, and conduct research on new digital sound analysis and processing algorithms.

I have participated in a variety of software projects, including a widely-distributed Macintosh sound analysis and synthesis program, a multi-platform API for adding sound to immersive virtual reality applications, and a research program to develop audio-enhanced program debugging environments. I maintain an open-source software library for sound modeling and morphing, called Loris, that can be downloaded from SourceForge (www.sourceforge.net/projects/loris).

As an assistant professor, I taught classes in C++ object-oriented programming, and data structures, as well as digital signal processing and sound synthesis.

Kelly Fitz’s Specialties:

Audio signal processing, musical signal processing, sound analysis and synthesis, sound morphing, time-frequency analysis, object-oriented programming, C, C++, Python, Java, Matlab, Max/MSP, Kyma.
