I am a freelance writer, SEO expert, foodie, social networking chick, travel junkie and former biz-cops-political-investigative newspaper journalist turned hardcore mommy blogger. I am the publisher of a network of parenting web sites. I’ve been geeking it out on computers since I was 10 (and you had to use an audio tape to run software), and I’ve been web publishing and networking since the early 1990s (when I had to create pages from code in Notepad).
SEO, web writing, investigative writing, social networking, web 2.0

This is a social network and multi-author blog. What makes Type-A Mom unique is that the moms don’t just network here, but the advice here comes directly from real moms. With a revenue share setup, Type-A Mom is like a mom coop. All moms who write for Type-A Mom earn a 50-50 revenue share. The site features about 30 mom editors with various areas of expertise. Moms can also connect with various mom friends, and link to their web sites, blogs and social networking pages on their profiles. I also operate Foodie Mama, Dadosphere and momShare, a Digg for moms.

I worked as the online content editor at the Asheville CVB, dramatically improving traffic and boosting content at a time when tourism sites were typically seeing a decline. I continue to do contract work for the CVB, and the tourism office is one of my major clients.
