Keith Schacht’s Summary

I'm convinced that Facebook has built the greatest platform since Microsoft Windows. Just like Windows standardized the experience for users across lots of different applications while simultaneously giving developers amazing building blocks, Facebook has struck this same perfect balance for social web applications.

I'm focused 100% on my new company, Crafted Play, launching apps on Facebook and figuring out how to build a huge business on top of this platform, and similar ones that emerge—amazing times!

Prior to this, I spent 4 years with the company Inventables that I co-founded. Inventables has a unique way of helping consumer product companies come up with new product ideas. Our clients include the world's biggest consumer product companies: Nike, Proctor & Gamble, Motorola, BMW, Kraft, and many others.

Recent Accolades:

-- Fortune write-up, "Inside-The-Box Thinking" (Oct 2004)
-- Spoke at CommunityNext (Oct 2007)
-- Spoke at Snap Summit (Oct 2007)

Prior to all this, I studied computer science and psychology at the University of Illinois. There I co-founded a boutique software development firm that was sold to Leo Media in 2001.

I've been involved in software development and the internet since the BBS I started in '94. It's been a fascinating ~10 years, can't wait to see what's in store for the next 10!

"The world you desire can be won, it exists, it is real, it is possible, it's yours."
