My division sells software and services to help ensure people are fairly and correctly paid. The product suite includes products for salary reviews, market pay comparison, analytical job evaluation and equal pay auditing.

Our core application is a large scale multi-tier web system that can be highly configured for each client. This product is built in C# 4 and Microsoft SQL 2008, with client customisations written in VB.Net. The web interface is ASP.Net MVC and AJAX, while the configuration tools are desktop applications.

I manage the development team and we use an Agile philosophy to deliver quality products to market quickly. We use Team Foundation Server for lifecycle management.

Over the last six years I have built and supported the team through a turbulent time for the company as it went from a 30 employee family run firm to a division in a 10,000 strong multi-national HR solutions provider.

As Lead Consultant I had a clear and highly detailed understanding of the technology that Amcat’s products relied on, as well as the wide variety of technologies that their clients needed them to integrate with.
