Within the last decade, I have worked for a variety of intelligent branding firms + interactive teams. I am designer who loves to create apropos visual solutions for the web. I continually practice + believe in relevant design, web standards, meticulous attention to detail, organization, + clean, thoughtful typography. I'm not afraid of being experimental, but also respect my boundaries when the time calls for it. I work hard at educating myself in the ever-evolving interactive space.
In addition, I am passionately devoted to capturing meaningful portraiture + documentary photography where emotion is essential + timing is everything. On the side, I enjoy immersing myself in various outlets for creative + social expression + exploration such as twitter, flickr, my blog, + my concert blog, as well as facebook to maintain my social ties with family + friends around the world. Not to mention, I like to cut my own hair.
In the heart of it all, I am an artist who discovered a love for all things design during her college years. I received a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design with a foundation in print from the Savannah College of Art + Design. The courses that made an immense impression on me were Typography I/II as well as B+W Photography + Development. My emergence from the world of print to web was simple. The year before graduating college, I got hooked on handwriting HTML code for the fun of it + because I loved seeing the process of cause + effect right before my eyes. Since then, I have been + continue to be self-taught in web design + front-end development, including XHTML, CSS, + Flash ActionScript.
I enjoy connecting with creative individuals that relish in solving communication puzzles together + who continue to mutually inspire at all imaginable levels.
