Freelance Writer & Editor
Greater Seattle Area
I recently moved to the Seattle area from Germany, and during my four years living in Europe, I wrote many articles for online and print publications. Most of these were travel-related, but I also wrote (and continue to write) book reviews for the website Curled Up With A Good Book (curledup.com) and I was the English Culture editor at BellaOnline.com for over a year.
My travel writing portfolio includes several city guides for sidestep.com, and articles for Stars & Stripes (European edition), a US Army Europe magazine, and the website for Geotimes magazine.
I also took on occasional proofreading/editing projects for people in the local community.
Previous to my freelancing experience, I had a lot of experience with academic writing.
I hope to parlay these writing experiences into a career in copywriting, technical writing or grant writing.
